Who's behind it all?

Hello there! I’m Amanda—Richmond, Virginia native and Navy veteran turned designer. I left home at 17 to serve my country, spending eight incredible years stationed in San Diego aboard two aircraft carriers and a destroyer. The Navy taught me integrity, accountability, and purpose—values that continue to guide how I live and lead today.

After the military, I found my way into the world of design. Inspired by my mom’s artistic skills and creativity, driven by a natural love for space planning, I discovered the power of thoughtful design in a corporate furniture role. That’s where it clicked: I could change someone’s daily life by creating a better workspace. Seeing how a well-designed environment could improve mood, productivity, and comfort made me realize that design isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about impact. I started Studio Eight to bring that purpose to life, built on honesty, transparency, and real connection. That’s the Studio Eight difference.
